DockDogs National Competition

We are excited to announce DockDogs will host a national competition at Old Florida Outdoor Festival! DockDogs will run from 10am-6pm, Saturday and Sunday of the Festival.

This family-friendly, dog jumping and retrieving competition is open to all dogs 6 months and older. A 40' x 100' pool with an attached dock shall be constructed on site at Northwest Recreation Complex for dogs to compete in. ESPN's technology utilizes computerized judging to measure speed and distance of this incredible display of canine athleticism.

CALLING ALL CONSERVATION GROUPS!

We are looking for conservation groups with experience in running contests for the following:
Casting (Fishing)
Cast Netting (Fishing)
Clay Shooting (Hunting/Archery)
Retrieving Dogs (Hunting/Archery)
Turkey Shooting (Hunting/Archery)
Turkey Call (Hunting/Archery)
Kayaking (Paddlesports)
Wild Game & BBQ Cookoff (General)

We're also seeking volunteers with knowledge of:
Birdwatching
Gardening
Fishing
Hunting
Archery
Local Waterways

If you have an interest in volunteering your group to assist at one of our pavilions or orchestrate any of the listed contests, please call 407-703-1777, and ask to speak to Ashley. Compensation for volunteers can be negotiated.

Old Florida Outdoor Festival Planning Underway

APOPKA, FL Planning for the 2012 Old Florida Outdoor Festival is underway. The outdoor lifestyle expo will feature birding, kayaking, fishing, hunting, running, and biking activities, as well as a farmer's market, foliage sale, art pavilion, kids activities, a barbeque and wild game cook off and more. The nights of the festival will be capped off with performances from national country recording contests at the Northwest Recreation Center's amphitheater.
